• You must be running Internet Explorer 6.0+ on Windows XP SP1+ with the Adobe SVG Viewer and SALT plug-in installed.
• To be able to talk to the system, you must have a microphone enabled on your computer.
• To train your computer to better understand your voice, there is a simple process to follow:
  In the Start Menu, open the Control Panel. Click on the Speech icon, and then click on Train Profile to begin. Be sure to listen to each paragraph you read during the training because it provides useful information for all every speech recognition system.

• Be sure to wait for the voice prompt box, which will appear where your cursor, before talking to the system. If you begin talking to the system before the voice prompt box appears, it will not hear you.
• If you have any questions on what you are expected to say on any page on this system, say "Hint". If there are multiple hints, please say hint followed by the hint number. To hide the hint box, just say "Hint" again or "Hide hint".
• Every location scroll box containing the building names has the same functionality. You can filter what you are viewing in the box by saying a category name or the first letter of the building you are looking for. If you can not read all of the options, simply say "Scroll up" or "Scroll down".
• You may skip to a different page on the system during any prompt. Instead of following what the prompt asks you to say, speak the page name you wish to go to and you will be redirected there. Examples are: "Find by Name", "Get Directions", "Home", or "Help".
• Whenever you wish to move to the previous page, you can simply say "Back".
• For the pages find within distance and get directions page, you may speak whole sentences to say what you are looking for to avoid going through every step of the interaction. Say "Hint 1" on either of these pages and fill in the blanks with what you are looking for.
• You may turn the voice interaction dialog off at any time. Simply say "Turn Off" and the voice interaction will stop. When you want to turn it back on, you must click the "Turn On Voice" link at the bottom of the page.

• What happens if a voice prompt does not appear?
  If this occurs, the voice system may be turned off. Check the bottom of the page to see if you can click Turn on Voice. If this is not the problem, please reload the page.
• Why won't the system recgonize what I say all the time?
  Sometimes there is more than one way to pronunciate a word. If you say it one way but the system is expecting it another, it may not understand you. If the system recognizes everything else that you are saying except one word, please email us with the correct pronunciation and the system will be updated asap.
